Yellow River Chinese Academy Courses

 

YRCA’s courses have been designed to prepare students for the internationally recognised HSK Chinese Proficiency Tests conducted by Hanban, China. In the short span of less than two years since YRCA was founded, more than 40 of our students have successfully qualified in the HSK tests across 3 Levels. To know more about HSK tests click HERE.

Level 1
(24 hours)
This is a conversational course which will cover the fundamentals of Mandarin such as the phonetics, the four tones and Pinyin Romanisation, as well as 150 words based on the HSK Level 1 syllabus. Simple sentences will also be taught as part of this course.
Level 2
(24 hours)
This course is meant for those who have completed the Level 1 course. It will cover 150 new words based on the HSK Level 2 syllabus. More complex sentences will be taught and some listening and speaking practice will be included in this course.
Level 3
(50 hours)
This is meant for students who have completed the HSK Level 2 syllabus. It will cover 300 new words as well as reading and writing of 600 Chinese characters based on the HSK Level 3 syllabus. Extensive listening, writing and reading practice will be an integral part of this course.
Mandarin for Juniors
This conversational Chinese Mandarin course will introduce young learners to the language and lay a strong foundation on which they can build upon in the future. It will cover the phonetics, tones and PINYIN, as well as around 40 words which are part of the International Chinese Proficiency YCT (Youth Chinese Test) 1 syllabus. The course will incorporate plenty of audio-visual content, rhymes, and songs, thus making the learning process fun, and enjoyable. A presentation by all participants at the end of the course will be one of its highlights.
